Why we don’t publish a starting price
We do not publish a fixed local price offer. A number without a specified model, measured staircase, and installation scope can leave out important costs.
Ask for these items separately
- Equipment: Model, rail type, number of flights, and included controls.
- Options: Seat adjustments, powered functions, folding rails, and parking positions.
- Installation: Survey, fitting, any necessary preparation, and user training.
- Electrical work: Who arranges it and whether it is included.
- Ownership: Maintenance, service call charges, batteries, and warranty exclusions.
- Later changes: Removal, relocation, and any buy-back terms.

Ask each provider to quote for the same route and explain why a particular option is recommended. A lower equipment price may come with different installation or support terms.
Rental and refurbished equipment
If a provider offers either, ask about availability for your staircase, ownership of the rail, minimum terms, servicing, and removal charges. This site does not promise that either option is available locally.

Raleigh homeowners can review the City’s homeowner rehabilitation and repair programs. Do not assume funding covers a stair lift; eligibility and work scope must be confirmed with the program administrator.
